At the door
The door at Cascades Casino North Bay
A group after a day by Lake Nipissing often mixes ages, and the door at Cascades Casino North Bay checks each person. The guest list below shows who in your party is ready to go in.

The guest list
Who in your group is ready for the door?
Add each person's age and what they carry. Nothing leaves this page.
The list checks only the published door rules: 19 and over, valid government photo ID, and a second ID with the name for anyone 21 or younger. Staff decide at the door and may ask for ID again inside.
- Everyone must be 19 or older.
- Everyone carries valid government-issued photo ID.
- Anyone aged 21 or younger also carries a second ID that shows their name.
- A person trespassed or self-excluded at any Ontario gaming property cannot visit.
Two pieces of ID
Cascades Casino North Bay admits guests aged 19 or older. Each person carries valid photo ID issued by a government. Anyone aged 21 or younger also needs a second piece of ID that shows their name. For a group, that means checking wallets before the bus or the car, not at the door. The age itself comes from Ontario law: section 2(3) of the Gaming Control Act, 1992, keeps anyone under 19 out of casinos.
The check does not end at the entrance. Staff may ask for ID at any moment of the visit, not only on the way in. Keep both pieces on you all evening, rather than one in a coat and one in the car.
- The guest list checks only what the venue publishes, age and ID, and not whether a person has the right to enter.
- If anyone's document is unusual, the desk suggests calling 705-840-7702 before the evening begins.
Who may not come in
Some guests cannot be admitted at all. A person who is trespassed or self-excluded may not visit Cascades Casino North Bay, and the rule reaches beyond this building. An exclusion from any Ontario gaming property counts at this door too.
My PlayBreak is OLG's self-exclusion for land-based gaming. A break lasts 3 or 6 months, or 1 to 5 years, and covers every Ontario casino. Once it starts, it cannot be ended early, even for one evening with friends. Enrolment runs through the OLG Support Centre at 1-800-387-0098, through casino staff, or with a PlaySmart Centre coordinator.
House rules once inside
Cascades Casino North Bay does not allow food or drink from outside, so finish any snacks from the day before the door. On the gaming floor, phones and other devices may not be used to record, take photos or calculate. Keep the group photo for somewhere off the gaming floor.
Communication supports, accessible formats and wheelchairs are provided when a guest asks. Public areas are open to guide dogs and service animals, and personal assistive devices are welcome. A guest with a disability may come in with a support person, who also has to meet the age rule. To set any of this up in advance, call the main line at 705-840-7702.
Asked at the desk
- Are two pieces of ID required for guests 21 or younger?
- Yes, any guest aged 21 or younger needs both: valid photo ID issued by a government and one more ID with their name printed on it.
- Can a guest over 21 come in with one piece of ID?
- Yes, as long as it is valid photo ID issued by a government. The second-piece rule applies to guests aged 21 or younger. Staff may still ask for ID at any moment of the visit.
- Can a friend under 19 wait inside with the group?
- Not inside the casino. Ontario law, section 2(3) of the Gaming Control Act, 1992, keeps anyone under 19 out, so plan that friend's evening elsewhere.
- Can photos be taken on the gaming floor?
- No phone or other device may be used on the gaming floor for photos, recording or calculating. Save the camera for areas away from the floor.
